Amy & Dom’s Wedding at Villa Catignano, Tuscany

Amy and Dom chose Villa Catignano, one of the most sought after wedding venues near Siena, for its timeless Tuscan charm, panoramic countryside views, and relaxed elegance. Their vision was to create an authentic celebration where family and friends could truly experience the atmosphere of a wedding in Tuscany.

A Tuscan Setting Designed for Gathering and Celebration

Villa Catignano is one of the most sought after wedding venues in Tuscany, appreciated for offering a complete experience in a single location. Ceremony, reception, and evening celebrations flow naturally from one space to another, allowing guests to settle into the rhythm of the day and enjoy the landscape, the light, and the sense of being immersed in the region.
Planning from abroad was made smooth and reassuring thanks to a locally based team coordinating each stage, from timelines and logistics to supplier collaboration, ensuring every detail reflected Amy and Dom’s vision while keeping the experience calm and enjoyable.

An Authentic Italian Wedding Experience with Chianti Catering

Food played a central role in the celebration, thoughtfully created by Chianti Catering (www.chianticatering.com), whose approach focuses on seasonal ingredients and traditional Tuscan flavours presented with refinement. After travelling to Tuscany for a private tasting, Amy and Dom selected a menu that felt generous, convivial, and deeply connected to the region.
On the wedding day, the meal became one of the most memorable parts of the celebration, shared slowly with family and friends in true Italian style, contributing to an atmosphere that felt warm, genuine, and effortlessly elegant.

Words from Amy & Dom

“Gillian from Weddings in Tuscany was one of the very few wedding planners we met who genuinely understood what we wanted from the very beginning. She gave us realistic expectations, clear timelines, and made the whole planning process feel calm and manageable rather than overwhelming.

Her energy was fantastic from the outset, and the fact that she also handled the catering was a huge bonus, the food was absolutely incredible. We travelled to Italy before the wedding for a food tasting, and every single dish was delicious. On the day itself, the food was just as amazing, if not better.

Gillian was also incredibly reasonably priced. Being English meant there was no language barrier at all, which made communication so much easier. Another big deciding factor for us was that she actually lives in Tuscany. We had spoken to other companies who were UK based or elsewhere and would have charged us extra just to visit the venue, with Gillian it simply made sense.

On the wedding day itself, everything was flawless and seamless. We truly had the best day of our lives, and Gillian made it all worthwhile. From the planning to the food to the execution, everything was perfect. We honestly couldn’t recommend her enough.”

This wedding at Villa Catignano captured everything couples dream of when choosing Tuscany, a setting rich in history, extraordinary food, and a celebration that feels both intimate and timeless.
